You need 6 NO blocks for the two RTD probes. For the NC blocks, when the switch is in the middle position, the NC contacts will be closed. When the switch is in one of the other two potions, you can make them 1 open, 1 closed, or both open, or both closed. It depends on how you stack the blocks.

I saw a lot of system using that switch with the pid. What is the point of using that kind of switch ?

And can you explain the fuzzy logic enhanced ?

As I know, it's very convenient to switch different loads for the controller. And it's safe because when the switch is in the middle position, it will shut off all the loads.

The fuzzy logic program is a totally different PID algorithm from the traditional PID that the SYL-2362 uses. In most cases the fuzzy logic enhanced PID control is very adaptive and may work well without changing the initial PID parameters. The fuzzy logic control works well for slow response system. When it works, it works better than the traditional PID control scheme. For beer brewing application, this controller has a proven track for good control quality.

Hi,
I've been looking at a few of your PIDs, specifically SWA-24X1 and have a usage scenario for my home-brewing setup. Based on the scenario below, would the SWA-24X1 be the right choice
Scenario
1. Set temperature to 155 Degrees
2. 155 Degrees maintain for 30 minutes or other time
3. After set amount of time passed sound alarm turn off heating element for (5 minutes)
4. After 5 minutes. sound alarm turn heating element on for 60 Minutes

The following alarms events should sound during the 60 Minutes
5. Sound alarm after set amount of time
6. Sound alarm after set amount of time
7. Stop


Any help would be appreciated.

It's too complicated for the controller SWA-24x1. It can maintain the temperature for 30 min then turn the alarm on. The alarm will be always on until you reset it.

Colnny,
After Some research I found that the SYL2352P will be better suited for what I need, specifically the ramp and soak features. I like the 30 programmable steps feature as well.
