Does WS-1500EBPM have AC zero crossing on AC output?

Postby lpark333 » Sat May 26, 2012 1:33 am

What type of on/off control is used on the AC output of the WS-1500EBPM Precision Temperature controller?
I have an application that requires minimizing transient edges of on/off control of the AC. This minimizes RF related emission in the AC wiring on the output (of controller) to the load.

Do you use a design in the controller that will switch the 60hz AC when the sine wave is at/near zero volt crossing? (common among good Solid State Relay designs).

If you don't switch on or off at "zero crossing", I'll have to externally build a circuit design that does zero crossing on/off.

Thanks in advance for a reply.

Found my answer. The WS-1500EBPM -DOES- have zero crossing in the internal optically isolated solid state relay.
I just missed it in the technical specs.

Cheers.
