Product Description:

This plug-and-play PID temperature controller is for controlling the temperature of the Bradley Smoker and other electric smokers. The original temperature control mechanism of the Bradley Smoker is unstable and inaccurate. For the same dial position, the smoking temperature can vary significantly depending on content in the smoker, the ambient temperature, the wind speed, the ambient humidity, and even the direction of sunshine. This controller uses a PID algorithm to automatically adjust power to the heater, in order to compensate for these disturbances. This temperature control can hold the smoking temperature within one degree precision.

Operating the temperature controller is easy: plug the smoker to the socket of the controller on the back, drop the sensor into smoker from the top venting hole, turn on the controller and smoker, and set the cooking temperature and timer. When finished, the alarm will tell you the food is ready.

This model has a 6-step programmable temperatures function. It can set each step of smoking to different temperatures and duration. The duration of each step can be set from 0.1 hour to 99.9 hour.  This function is useful for recipes that need to start at low temperatures and finish at higher temperatures. For example: You can program the temperature to start at 120 °F for 1.5 hour of smoking, rise to 132 °F for 2.5 hours and finish at 175 °F for 1 hour for smoked salmon (see pictures of my results below). It will save you time waiting by the smoker to change the settings manually when each step is finished. 

This new model, WS-1211GPH, replaces the previous WS-1200CPH. The “G” series controller made several important improvements and enhancements over the “C” series controller.
1) Improved durability for the sensor probe. The new sensor is more moisture-resistant, with larger temperature range, and more durable cable and plug. The sensor is immersible in water and can also be used for Sous Vide Cooking.
2) A memory function that allows customers to store up to 8 temperature profiles for different recipes.
3) A function key that can turn off the program mode if users only want to cook at single set temperature without using timer. 

We now offer four types of sensors for this smoker. 1) The original sensor (WS-SENSOR10A) can feed through the venting hole and provide very accurate temperature reading. 2) The wall mount sensor (WS-SENSOR11) that makes the system looks neat. 3) Clip-on sensor (WS-SENSOR13) that can be clipped on to the smoker grill or a frame. 4) Sous Vide immersion sensor (WS-SENSOR14). This sensor has a 4 ft long thin ribbon cable that is optimized for sous vide cooling. The thin ribbon cable minimizes the gap between the lid and pot resulted in dropping the wired sensor into the pot. You can find more choices by clicking here. 1) For Bradley Digital Smoker owners, an extra power cord is needed for the smoker generator. You can either purchase an extra power cord by checking the box for "extra 18 AWG power cord" (NEMA 5-15P to C13 Power Cord), which is above "sensor type option" or using a regular computer power cord of your own.
2) For international orders, a US power cord is included. Users can splice the connector of the cord to a power strip outlet that meets the local standard for the output.  For the input, the controller has standard IEC 320 C13/14 socket. Users can use a computer power cord that meets the local standard to power it.
3)  The power rating is 1200 watts for 120V, more than sufficient for the 500 watts required for Bradley smokers. If you are going to use it for other larger smokers, you can purchase our multi purpose controller WS-1510ELPM
