This is a miniature low-cost infrared temperature sensor/transmitter made by Omega Engineering. It can detect surface temperature of an object in a non-contact way. It has fast response time, make is especially suitable for measuring temperature of moving objects. It has compact design, stainless steel housing, and durable cable protected by stainless steel braiding and Teflon insulation. The mounting thread/nuts make it easier to install on a rack or a fixture.
The sensor is preset to measure objects with 0.95 surface emissivity. For objects that are transparent or have mirror surface (emissivity is less than 0.95), you can apply a masking tape to increase the emissivity to 0.95.
These sensors are refurbished. There might be some minor marks or signs of gentle use. But all have been tested and comes with 90-day warranty.
