This tachometer/frequency counter offers a 6-digit resolution. When used as a tachometer, it can read up to 999,999 RPM, a useful feature for the turbo engine. When used as a frequency counter, it can read up to 50 KHz. The meter offers two programmable relays. Each can be programmed to turn on or turn off at a pre-set RPM or a pre-set frequency. Each can also be programmed to turn on at one RPM (or frequency) and off at another RPM (or frequency).
The counter and frequency counter can perform multiplication and division so that more meaningful numbers will be displayed e.g, if each revolution produces four pulses, user can set the counter to divide the pulses by 4 to display the actual rpm.
The meter can be powered by DC power source ranging from 9 V to 30 V DC.
The input sensor type can be magnetic proximity sensor (e.g., SM8-310), optical coupler, hall effect sensor, or encoder. The acceptable input signal level is less than +/- 30 V.
