JSL-71A is the newest addition to our timer family. This timer is probably one of the most user friendly timers on the market. It was developed based on customers’ feedbacks for our ASL series timer. Some of the important features are:

  • Dual timer settings that can be toggled with a single key press.
  • Easy time setting with key lock.
  • Broad range from 0.01 second to 9999 minutes.
  • Multiple counting modes including single delay, double delay and cycle.
  • Multiple controls including start, reset, pause and stop.
  • Counting up or counting down.
  • 10 Amp, form C relay output.

Easy to set up and operate.  Although the multifunctional ASL timer can be used for different applications, having too many functions makes it hard to set up and operate. It also has to compromise some performance for some specific functions. Many customers just need a simpler timer. Based on this feedback, the new JSL-71A only offers the most commonly used timer functions. The instruction manual is easier to understand. The display is dedicated for timer use only. It is more informative and easier to read.  The setting parameters are easier to remember.

Dual timer settings. One of the unique features of this timer is that it allows the user to store two different single delay time settings. User can switch from one to the other by a single key press. Some application involves more than one time settings, e. g. when use the timer to control a doserless coffee grinder for making espresso, the operator can adjust the time for the single and double shot so that just enough coffee grind is produced. With this timer, operator can change from the single shot setting to the double shot setting with a single key press.

Easy and secure time setting. To prevent accidental changing of the time setting, most timers on the market require users to use a code, or press a special key to enter the time setting menu (including our ASL series). This is inconvenient for applications that need to change the time setting frequently. The JSL-71A timer solves this problem by allowing the user to change the time setting with up or down keys any time when the timer is idling (not counting). A key lock function is added for the operations that repeat the same time settings for avoiding accidental changes.

More functions. In addition to the reset (start) and pause key, we added a stop key and terminal. It allows the user to stop the timer at any time. The stop terminal can be connected to a safety interlock switch. It will disable the timer output when the interlock switch is not engaged..... a very important safety feature that many timers don't have.  In addition to the double delay cycling mode, a double delay single run feature is also added.

Product update (Year 2021): Weight/volume display function is introduced for dispenser timer purpose. This timer allows the user to convert the counting unit from time to a user defined unit, such as weight or volume. For example, assuming it takes 37 seconds to deliver one gallon of water. User can define a counting unit called “Gallon”, and one “Gallon” equals to 37 seconds. For dispensing 3.3 gallon of water, user can simply input 3.3 “Gallon” instead of inputting 121 seconds. No need to convert 3.3 gallon to 121 seconds on user side.
