The AW-SYL-2342 is a Wi-Fi-capable PID controller based on Auber's SYL-2342 1/16 DIN PID controller with mechanical relay output. This unit not only does everything a regular SYL-2342 does but also has 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, which allows a user to access the controller remotely through the AuberWifi phone app anywhere that has an internet connection.

Note 1: For a similar PID with SSR output, please check AW-SYL-2352.
Note  2: AW-SYL-2342 does not have the ramp soak feature. For a similar WiFi PID with ramp soak feature, please check AW-SYL-2342P instead.

Wi-Fi Connectivity Features:

  • The AuberWifi app is available for both iOS and Android systems.
  • Monitor the current sensor reading, view the data plot, and export historical data.
  • Monitor the status of the main output, and the alarm relays.
  • Access and change all parameters from the app.
  • Receive alarm notifications pushed to your phone.
  • Easy pairing process. Compatible with most modern routers with 2.4 GHz WiFi bands.
  • Manage multiple AuberWifi (AW) series devices in one app.
  • Capable of receiving updates over-the-air (OTA).

See the supplementary user guide for how to add the device to the AuberWIfi app and how to access the device.

Basic Features of SYL-2342

This is a dual display 1/16 DIN size (1.89x1.89" or 48 x 48 mm) temperature/process controller. Common applications of this controller include temperature control of industrial equipment, laboratory equipment, espresso machines, beer brewing systems, BBQ grills/smokers, heat treatment ovens, glass kilns, and aquariums.

The controller uses an advanced artificial intelligence enhanced PID algorithm that can handle systems that are usually sluggish/difficult to control when controlled by a traditional PID controller. In most cases, the controller will hold the temperature within a reasonable range of the default PID parameters. The auto-tune feature will improve control accuracy and stability to within one degree of accuracy. In most cases, there is no need for the user to toggle the confusing PID parameters in order to get the system stabilized.

This high-precision, full-featured industrial-grade controller supports more than twenty different input devices that cover almost every possible application requirement. Two alarm outputs can be activated in more than 10 situations. All the control and setting parameters are stored in the non-volatile memory even when the controller is powered off. Recently, we added an advanced cold junction compensation circuit to further reduce the temperature drift when the thermocouple sensor is used.

One of the unique features of this controller is that the built-in relay can handle 10 A of current at 120VAC. That means 1200 watts of load can be connected directly to the controller without the need for an external mechanical contactor/relay. That is very convenient for applications in which only a small heater is used.

SYL-2342 model is designed to drive mechanical contactor/relay directly, not Solid State Relay (SSR).

Features:

  • PID control with a fuzzy-logic enhancement for outstanding stability control
  • 0.2% accuracy over the entire input range
  • Displays in either Fahrenheit or Celsius temperature unit
  • Percent output indication for easy troubleshooting of the system
  • Supports both heating and cooling mode
  • Auto/manual control with bump-less transfer
  • Dual alarm outputs with 10+ activation methods/situations
  • Selectable security access levels
  • High brightness, large LED display - easily read from a distance
  • Manual and US technical support
  • 6-month limited warranty. See details here
