The AW-SYL-23X2P is a Wi-Fi-capable PID controller based on Auber's ramp/soak PID controller SYL-23X2P. This unit does everything a regular SYL-23X2P does and has 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, which allows a user to access the controller remotely through the AuberWifi app anywhere with an internet connection.  

Wi-Fi Connectivity Features:

  • Monitor the status of the main output and the alarm relays.
  • Access and edit the ramp/soak program from the app.

Main Features of SYL-23X2P

This PID temperature controller is a 1/16 DIN controller with a two-line display. It has all the basic control functions of the standard PID controller such as SYL-2352 except the "manual control mode".

This ramp/soak controller can allow up to 30 steps programmed, making it suitable for applications that require complex heating profiles such as controlling heat treatment ovens. In each segment of the heating profile, a user can specify the start point of the temperature, the endpoint of the temperature, and the time duration during which this ramp/soak step should last. In addition, special actions can also be programmed: hold the program, stop the program, jump to a specified step, activate or deactivate one or both alarm relays.

Model Selection

Currently, we offer this controller in two different output modules: AW-SYL-2342P (build-in relay output) and AW-SYL-2352P (12 VDC output). Please read the description below to choose the correct model for your application. 

AW-SYL-2342P (relay output)

The output is a small C-Form 10A relay built into the controller. The relay contacts pull in or drop out as the output status changes. 

AW-SYL-2352P ( 12 VDC output for solid-state relays)

The output is a 12 VDC signal for controlling external solid-state relays (SSRs).

Note 1. Main default settings on the controller:

Input sensor type: type K thermocouple (SN = 0).
Temperature unit: Fahrenheit (°F)
Display resolution: 1 degree (DP = 0).

Note 2. Features that are not supported by the current WiFi firmware or app:
  • The current AuberWifi app offers limited support for linear input sensor types such as DC voltage and DC current input signals. The app fully supports all compatible temperature sensor types with 1°C or 1°F display resolution.    
  • Jumping to another step is not supported by the app. It can only be done on the controller's keypad.
  • The A-M indicator on the app is not synchronized with the controller when the program is on HOLD. 

Note 3. Currently, the export data includes four values: PV, SV, OUT and time

Note 4. Optional spade connectors.

Optional 10 pcs spade connectors (for 22 ~ 16 AWG wire); colors are random, either red or blue.
