Thanksgiving sale ends on 11/30/2026!
The Auber HMI-43P is a 4.3-inch touchscreen PID temperature controller designed for ovens, curing systems, and other industrial heating applications. It combines temperature control, programmable heating profiles, and auxiliary output control in one integrated system.
The controller offers two operating modes to meet different process requirements. Use fixed-temperature mode to maintain a target temperature with an optional timer, or use ramp/soak mode to run a multi-step heating program with up to 30 temperature and time segments.
The touchscreen provides an intuitive interface for configuring temperature settings, programming heating profiles, monitoring operation, and reviewing alarm records. Additional functions include PID auto-tuning, configurable alarms, scheduled startup, and dedicated outputs for heater, fan, light, and alarm control.
Whether you are building a powder coating oven, a curing oven, a drying system, or another temperature-controlled heating application, the HMI-43P provides flexible control options to help you configure a system for your needs.

Key Features
- 4.3-inch color touchscreen: Configure settings, program heating profiles, and monitor system operation through an easy-to-navigate interface.
- Two operating modes: Choose fixed-temperature control with an optional timer (simple mode) or programmable ramp/soak control (profiled mode).
- Up to 30 program segments (profiled mode only): Create multi-step heating profiles with individual temperature and time settings.
- PID and ON/OFF control: Select the control method appropriate for your application.
- PID auto-tuning: Automatically determine suitable PID parameters to simplify the tuning process.
- Multiple temperature sensor options: Compatible with type K, type E, type N, and type S thermocouples and PT100 RTD sensors.
- Single-zone heater control: Control one heating zone through a compatible SSR or relay/contactor interface.
- Automatic fan control: Configure fan operation and available startup and shutdown delays.
- Manual light control: Switch the light output manually when needed.
- Configurable alarms: Set up alarm functions and review alarm records.
- Scheduled startup: Configure the controller to start operation at a scheduled time.
- Temperature history: Review recorded temperature data to help monitor process operation.
Power Supply and Installation Requirements
One 24V DC power supply is included with this listing. Choose one of the following power supply options. Both accept 110V AC or 240V AC input and are UL listed. Choose the mounting style that best suits your control panel.
- 24V/50W screw mounted power supply: CCL-50-24
- 24V/60W DIN rail mounted power supply: MDR-60-24
Notes
- SSR output: The controller's SSR output is a dry output and does not supply its own drive voltage. Refer to the instruction manual for the correct wiring arrangement.
- Output configuration: The controller has four control functions: heater, light, fan, and alarm. Each function provides an SSR output and a relay output option, identified by the applicable terminal designations in the manual.
- Output ratings: All the dry relay outputs in this controller, including heater (Y4), light, fan, and alarm outputs are rated for resistive loads up to 1A at 240V. These ratings do not necessarily apply to inductive loads, such as fan motors. Use an appropriately rated external relay or contactor when required by the load characteristics or when the load exceeds the controller's output ratings.. Auber offers DIN-rail-mounted thin relays (DRRM) and screw-mounted mini relays (ER30A-120) as options.
- Fan settings: The fan function and its indicators can be disabled in the controller parameters.
Function Limitations
- Temperature sensor: HMI-43P can only read one temperature sensor at one time.
- Fixed-temperature mode (simple mode): The timer is optional. Set the timer to zero to disable it. With the timer disabled, the controller operates similarly to the Auber SYL-2352. With the timer enabled, its operation is similar to that of the Auber SWA-2451B.
- Timer operation: The timer in fixed-temperature mode cannot be paused. Stop and restart temperature control to reset the timer.
- Ramp/soak operation (profiled mode): A running program cannot be paused. You can stop the program or skip the current step.
- Displayed target temperature: During a ramp/soak program, the displayed target temperature represents the end temperature of the current step.
- Fan and light control: The light output is controlled manually. The fan output is controlled automatically and cannot be switched on or off manually. By design, the fan turns on when the heater output is on. Configurable startup and shutdown delays are available. If the fan function is not needed, it can be disabled in the controller parameters.
- Clock: The clock uses the YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS format and a 24-hour time display. It does not support a 12-hour format or automatic daylight saving time adjustment.
- Firmware updates: Updating the firmware requires a USB-C cable and a Windows computer, neither of which is included. The controller must remain powered by its external 24 V DC power supply throughout the update. If you have difficulty updating the firmware, contact Auber Instruments about its mail-in firmware update service.
What's Included and What Else Is Needed?
Included:
- HMI-43P touchscreen controller console
- One 24V DC power supply
Not included:
- Compatible temperature sensor or thermocouple
- External SSR and heat sink for heater control
- Electrical wiring and power cord
